"The man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read." ~Mark Twain

A HUGE thanks to our Guide Sponsor, Painted Grape Craft & Paint Studio - with locations in Mebane, Burlington, and (coming soon!) Hickory & Greensboro. Featuring a wide variety of opportunities for creative expression for all ages!

Sponsors keep Macaroni KID Burlington-Hillsborough a FREE community resource, so please support them wherever possible!

One of the most fun parts of having a little one is getting them out to events especially designed for growing bodies and; minds. And one of the easiest ways to start that journey is by heading out to Storytime! Storytime has SO many developmental benefits, like introducing them to new words, skills, and concepts (shapes, colors, animals, etc). Children can also learn about everyday tasks like brushing their teeth and expand their creativity with fantastic tales of adventure and discovery - all while learning listening, motor, and socialization skills. Plus, in addition to being educational, Storytime is also FUN, often including songs, dance, fingerplay, and crafts. Plant the seeds of early literacy education in your littlest learner by heading to one of the many Storytimes in the area...

Between these two systems, there is a library within a 10 minute drive of most anywhere in the area.
