Description

Artists in Parks is for students who want to explore their creative side and be inspired by the natural world. Classes are led by experienced and supportive staff who will help students expand their skills and encourage creativity. Classes are open to adults. Ages 9 and up are welcome with a participating/paying adult. 

• Fall Collage with Wax Dipped Foliage
  Thursday, October, 17 from 6:00-8:00 pm
  Create a collage or assemblage piece using found objects and imagery. We will collect some materials from nature to inspire a two-dimensional collage or three-dimensional assemblage piece. This class will discuss composition and layering to create a cohesive piece. Please bring a magazine or two you do not mind donating to the class for materials.
• Holiday Handmade Gifts
  Saturday, November 16 from 1:30-3:30 pm
  Make handmade gifts for your friends and family. Use print-making/stamp-making techniques to make holiday cards and wooden ornaments.
• Watercolor Resists & Alternative Techniques
  Thursday, November 21 from 6:00-8:00 pm
  Enjoy a relaxing evening experimenting with a variety of materials to create resists and combine color theory in watercolor artworks. We will explore a variety of techniques with watercolors to create different textures and patterns.

Who

Ages 9 and up are welcome with a participating/paying adult.
