Description
What better way to celebrate Earth Day than to get out on the trails and spend the night by the Haw River?! This guided trip will begin at Glencoe Paddle Access, continue past Stoney Creek Marina, and lead to Sellers Falls Campsites, approx. 4 miles down river. We'll set up camp, make dinner, and enjoy a night under the stars. The next morning, we will make breakfast, pack up camp, and hike back to Glencoe Paddle Access taking a new route alongside the river, making for a slightly shorter, but scenic, return trip. This is a great opportunity to experience backcountry camping with other people in a safe environment.
Our group will stay together at all times. There will be plenty of free time once we arrive at camp to hang out, read, fish, etc.
Previous backpacking experience is not required, but you will be responsible for providing your own gear. Refer to the graphic here for a packing list of items you should/may want to bring.
