Wild Tails is home to a diverse collection of displaced exotics serving as educational ambassadors to benefit their wild relatives and conservation efforts. We are a fully licensed and insured 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, which advocates for responsible and purposeful captive husbandry of exotic species to ensure a future for their wild relatives and their ecosystems. Through our up close and personal outreach programs, we strive to deliver an experience that will expand the public’s insights into the animal world, teach the inherent value of all species, and motivate audiences to be proactive in conservation efforts.
Our wildlife education programs solely support the care and needs of our animal ambassadors and operational costs. Our outreach programs enable audiences to be closer than ever to the wonderful and wild animals we share this world with. From our Kenyan Sand Boa, Nemo, to our Bennett’s Wallaby, Bonsai, all deliver an educational, interactive, and inspiring experience. Program options include one time sessions, or consecutive week sessions for a more in depth educational experience with all of our animal ambassadors. Our programs are designed to fit NC science standards and are a valuable addition to any curriculum. Our programs can be customized to fit any audience’s specific area of interest or study, and will connect you with amazing animals in an up close and personal experience like no other!
