Walkerdance is quite unique as far as a small town dance studio goes. For those who have seen the annual Nutcracker performance at Elon University, you have experienced first hand our accomplishments in developing confidence and poise with all of our young performers. Whether these young folks go on to a dancing career, or any other endeavor, they have all gained the ability to be a contributing part of an organization, and to step forward and not be afraid to lead when called upon.
Walkerdance Ballet Theatre’s teaching is about solid ballet. Our faculty use ballet as a tool to teach discipline, commitment, and the cold hard fact that if you want something from life, you must develop excellent work ethic/habits and a positive attitude toward the process of achievement.
From the youngest (who learn shapes, ballet language, and creative movement), to the oldest (all of whom become incredible young adults); Walkerdance is a place that you can feel confident that the dance is being taught. We are excited and proud to take Walkerdance into the future for another 30 years!
