Adventure & Outdoors
Blue Skies of Mapleview LLC

- We are the 2024 winners of the Chapel Hill Magazine best camp in Chapel Hill !! We are pretty proud of this because we are a small family farm. We specialize in balanced English riding and include three clinics each morning. We play mounted games, do groundwork, learn about horse health, equine massage, and many topics. In the heat of the afternoon, we focus on painting and art projects that help us really learn to use our powers of observation to look at and understand the horse. A quick dip in the pool ends our day of fun. All of our horses are experienced kind geldings who look forward to the children because we care for them holistically and with an emphasis on safety for campers and horses.

Camp RiverQuest
- Week 1 - June 9-13 || Week 2 - June 23-27 || Week 3 - July 7-11 || Week 4 - July 21-25 || Week 5 - August 4-8 || Week 6 - August 18-22
- General Registration: $375 (closes on May 19) || Rolling Registration: $400 (opens on May 19th, each camps registration closes a week before it starts)
- For 10-15 year olds
- What better way to grow a child's love of the great outdoors than to get them out on their own local river RiverQuest Adventure Camp is a weeklong (M-F), full-day summer program. Each day includes riverside hikes, nature crafts, hands-on heart-based environmental education, and โ of course โ paddling! Campers will learn to paddle kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards through a mixture of traditional instruction and on-water games. Your kids will also learn boat rescue and river safety, plant identification, river monitoring techniques, teamwork skills, and more! ๐ด Optional Overnight: This year we're trying something new โ a sleepover in Saxapahaw on the Thursday night of each camp week! Campers can enjoy a pizza dinner, sunset over the river, and games with their friends late into the evening. This optional sleepover night costs an additional $45 and includes dinner, breakfast, and overnight staff supervision.

Chestnut Ridge Camp & Retreat Center
- Weeks of June 8 - August 22 Time: 4pm Sunday- 6pm Friday (Overnight Camps), 7:45am - 5:45pm (Full Day camps) & 7:45am-12pm (Half Day Preschool camp)
- Starting at $415
- For 3-17 year olds
- Chestnut Ridge Camp & Retreat Center is a non-profit, co-ed summer camp where campers and counselors play outside, silliness is encouraged, discovery is inevitable, friendships grow, and faith becomes real. Campers explore our 365 acres of hardwood forests, learn new skills, cool off in the lake, and make friendships and memories that last a lifetime. Daily activities include activities like ziplining, a hayride to the farm, gagaball, archery, roasting s'mores and so much more!

Dreams of Freedom Farm Summer Camp
- June 23-27 July 7-11 July 14-18 July 21-25. Half day is from 8:30- 1:00 Full day 8:30- 3:30
- Half day $275. Full Day $375
- For 5-12 year olds
- We will interact with the horses and donkey, have pony rides, learn about animals, do some gardening, play games, and have water play throughout the week.

Eno River Field Station
- July 21-25, 2025; 8:30am-5:00pm
- $250 plus $20 registration fee
- 12-15 year olds
- This program takes students out of the classroom and deep into discovery of their environment. Field Station is held at the Confluence Natural Area on the West and East Forks of the Eno River, outside Hillsborough, NC. Every day the students interact with scientists, researchers, science teachers, and environmental experts who make discovery and learning fascinating and fun.

Ivy Bell Farm Summer Camp
- Summer Camp starts June 16th and our last session is August 15th. Camp is from 8:30-2:30 Monday through Friday with an option of extended care to 4:30.

Strouds Creek Farm

- The summer camp programs at Strouds Creek Farm are designed to offer a unique experience for your child. Our programs are limited to 20 children per week to allow for the intimate feeling one might get at a friend's birthday party or a playdate with friends. Down-to-earth, nature-based days are the vibe around here. We lean into a routine of activities that are loosely defined so that we allow for flexibility. We strive to balance the structure and supervision that is necessary with a "free-ranging approach". We feel that some unstructured play and the freedom to just be a kid throughout the day is what makes our summer camp program so much fun!

Grape Kid's Summer Camp
- Weekly; 8:30 AM- Noon starting June 9th through the week of August 18. Join by the week or day. Lunch Bunch (12-1pm) available every day of camp.

- Grape Kid's Summer Camp is a creative adventure where kids explore art and hands-on projects using premium-quality materials curated from around the world. Each day brings new, exciting activities, ensuring no two experiences are the same. Campers will leave with finished projects and the inspiration to keep creating long after camp ends!

Studio 1 Options

- 7-16 year olds
- Summer camps and performances of Crazy for You, Seussical the Musical, and Jungle Camp @ Snow Camp Outdoor Theatre. In addition, there is a Tech Camp: Work along side the Camp 1 counselors and learn about everything that goes on behind the scenes in a theatre production including lights, sounds, props and much more! Then you will help design and run the technical side of the performances!

Rudimentary Arts Techniques Studio (RATS)
- Week-long sessions, M-F, 9:30 am to noon. June 9 thru July 18, no camp 4th of July week
- $210 per week; 10% discount for full series
- 8-10 year olds
- A deep dive into the basics of drawing and painting with an emphasis on creativity for kids ages 8 to10 who are seriously interested in art. Each morning will be divided into practicing basics and working on a finished project.
