September is National Library Card Sign Up month!

The Alamance County Public Library System includes 4 branches: May Memorial Library in downtown Burlington, North Park Library north of town, Graham Public Library next to the Children's Museum & Alamance Arts, and the Mebane Public Library in downtown Mebane.

The Orange County Public Library includes their main branch in downtown Hillsborough as well as the Cybrary in downtown Carrboro (and... coming soon! Southern Branch in Carrboro)

Both Alamance & Orange County Public libraries allow residents of neighboring counties to get library cards and attend events. This means that no matter where you are (and if you don't mind driving a bit!) - you have more great free event options to choose from for your little learners. Between these two system, there is a library within a 10 minute drive of most anywhere in the area.

Did you know that our local libraries offer SO MANY different family-friendly events, activities, programs, and resources for families? The activities vary in time, location and theme, but, in addition to storytimes, there are offer junior book clubs, seasonal craft and art events, LEGO & other STEM events, Anime groups, Tween/Teen groups, and so much more!

And we keep them ALL on our Full event Calendar!
