What we love: Our readers were vocal about their love of this local favorite that's been in business for 47 years. Our family headed there recently and split both a Meat Lovers and a Veggie Lovers (what can I say? It's hard to get 4 people to agree on toppings for 1 pizza!) and we didn't stop until we were as full as the pizza was of toppings. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the pizza was tasty - what more could you ask for?

What we love: I was happy to see that our readers love Franco Pizza as much as my family does. As a Mebanite, I've been a fan since we walked in the door for our first pizza 5 years ago and owner Franco greeted us with a smile (and a toy for my toddler) while hand-tossing a fresh dough before our very eyes. We learned then that he spent many years working in a NYC pizzeria before coming to NC, so we knew he was serious about his pizza. Since then we've been back many times and, depending on who you ask in the family, we recommend the Eggplant Parmiagiana pizza, the Stuffed Meat pizza, and the Stomboli (ham, pineapple, & spinach is a fave!)

What we love: Use As a Mebane-based family we're no strangers to Junction on 70, either. They're a popular local spot who features a wide array of foods to choose from when you've got a big crew of picky eaters to feed. Our family's favorite pie from Junction on 70 is the Southern BBQ Pizza ... because isn't just about anything more delicious with barbeque sauce?

What we love: Our family has been known to head across town just to get some Pandora's. This college town favorite specializes in sourcing local ingredients for big flavor. Some of our faves include the CBR (chicken, bacon, ranch) and the Green eyes (eggplant, tomato, basil, pesto). Plus, as a bonus end to our meal, we can rarely resist stopping at the Smitty's Ice Cream located in the same building afterwards, making it an especially delicious family night out!
